The Range Technology RA007 DFM Module is purpose-built for late-model GM “Refresh” V8 vehicles — 2021–2024 GM SUVs and 2022.5–2024 GM 1500 trucks with the 5.3L or 6.2L V8. It was among the first solutions to disable the Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) system on these newer platforms, keeping the engine on all cylinders at all times for more consistent power and a smoother drive.
The module is a dual-purpose device: it disables both DFM and the engine’s Auto Start/Stop, so the engine no longer drops cylinders or shuts off at every stop. It installs by plugging onto the vehicle’s ECM, needs no ECU reprogramming, and can be removed without leaving a trace.
